  1. Plan and prepare to manage multiple drilling operations

Performance Evidence

Evidence is required to be collected that demonstrates a candidate’s competency in this unit. Evidence must be relevant to the roles within this sector’s work operations and satisfy all of the requirements of the performance criteria of this unit and include evidence that the candidate:

locates and applies applicable, documentation, policies and procedures

implements the requirements, procedures and techniques for the safe, effective and efficient management of multiple drilling operations including:

identifying, addressing and reporting potential hazards and risks

planning, managing and guiding individuals/teams

analysing and implementing corrective actions

establishing effective communication processes

applying training strategies to improve performance

maintaining systems, written records and reporting

works effectively with others to plan, prepare and manage multiple drilling operations including:

preparing for and organising work activities to meet all task requirements

communicating clearly and concisely with others to receive and clarify work instructions

using a range of communication techniques and aids to advise others of work activity and exclusion zones

demonstrates completion of the management of multiple drilling that safely, effectively and efficiently meets all of the required outcomes on more than one (1) occasion including:

inspection/research techniques for collection of data

analysis and problem solving techniques

planning control systems (sales, advertising and promotion, logistics)

record keeping systems for multiple sites


Knowledge Evidence

The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the following in applying the manage multiple drilling operations through:

accessing, interpreting and applying legislative, organisation and site requirements and procedures for:

work health and safety

allocating available resources

corrective actions strategies

managing quality and continuous improvement processes and standards

applying ethical standards

inspection/research techniques for collection of data

completing analysis and applying problem solving techniques

planning control systems (sales, advertising and promotion, logistics)

undertaking record keeping systems for multiple sites

communication systems, processes and procedures

goals, objectives, plans, systems and processes

strategic business and performance plans
